Clay Baird & Lucie Durant (Co-Founders of The Horsemen Collective)

Clay Baird

Clay Baird is a seasoned equestrian with a lifelong passion for horses. Growing up in the saddle, he traversed some of the most remote areas of the world, including the Australian High Country and the High Sierra deserts of California's Yosemite National Park.

Alongside his adventures, Clay has worked with renowned trainers worldwide, enriching his knowledge and passion for the equine world.

Beyond his experiences as a horseman, Clay is also a respected clinician and coach, sharing his expertise to inspire others in the equestrian community. As a barefoot trimmer, he advocates for natural hoof care, prioritising the health and well-being of the horses under his care.

In addition to his equestrian pursuits, Clay is also a filmmaker and multimedia designer. It's this diverse skill set that led him to found The Horsemen Collective, a platform dedicated to sharing knowledge from the trainers and individuals he admires.

Through his work as a clinician, coach, barefoot trimmer, and filmmaker, Clay is committed to enriching the equestrian community and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for horses. With his unwavering dedication and innovative approach, Clay continues to leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of riders and horses alike.

Lucie Durant

Lucie Durant, co-founder of The Horsemen Collective, brings a unique perspective to the equestrian world. Born in France, Lucie was immersed in the modern dressage scene from a young age.

However, it was in the vast Australian outback where she truly found her passion for horses. Often seen riding bareback and barefooted through the expansive Australian landscapes, Lucie's connection with her equine companions runs deep.

As a horsewoman, Lucie is driven by a relentless desire to absorb as much knowledge as possible. Whether she's engaged in intricate in-hand work or moving cows with equal enthusiasm, Lucie's dedication to her craft is unwavering. Her love for horses transcends disciplines, and she is committed to exploring every facet of horsemanship.

With her background in design and her profound understanding of horsemanship, Lucie co-founded The Horsemen Collective to create a platform where riders can come together to share their passion, knowledge, and experiences.

Through her work, Lucie aims to inspire others to connect with horses on a deeper level and to foster a community where all aspects of horsemanship are celebrated.
